Seasons
Seasons are events in Cookie Clicker that are based on holidays and give upgrades (usually as random drops), have unique achievements, and have special effects while staying in those seasons.
Seasons will be triggered at certain times based on the system's clock, or forced through the season switcher.

Seasons
Unless overridden by the "Season Switcher", each season starts and ends automatically based on the following dates. Natural seasons do not end until the game is reloaded. (Note that the game calculates dates based on UTC time):

Season Switcher
The season switcher, unlocked as a heavenly upgrade for 1,111 heavenly chips, grants seasonal biscuits that will force a season to activate upon purchase.
Only one season can be active at any give moment, so purchasing a seasonal biscuit while a season is already running (naturally or through another seasonal biscuit) will cause it to be overridden.
Seasonal biscuits can be purchased infinitely. However, their price increases for each purchase.
Switch cost
Each season biscuit costs 1,000,000,000 + (c × 60 × 1.5^n × m) cookies.
- c - unbuffed CpS (unaffected by Wrinklers and temporary effects)
- n - total amount of seasonal biscuits purchased; price increase by 50% each time
- m - 2, 1.5, 1.25, 1 when Selebrak is in diamond, ruby, jade, or no slot respectively
