The Farm is the third building in Cookie Clicker, initially costing 1,100 cookies and produces 8 CpS by harvesting cookies.

Upgrading the farm to at least level 1 with Sugar lump unlock the Garden minigame. Each level makes the garden bigger and bigger until level 9 where it reaches the maximum size.

  • The upgrade Pulsar Sprinklers refers to the pulsar, a type of star known for emitting powerful beams of light from its magnetic poles and spinning rapidly.
  • The upgrade Wheat triffids is a reference to The Day of the Triffids, a post-apocalyptic novel written by John Wyndham.
  • The upgrade Barnstars refers to a real life decoration which is found on barns in some parts of the United States. It is likely also a reference to barnstars, which are awards both given and received by Wikipedia contributors.
  • The upgrade Lindworms refers to the mythical creature which appears in fairy tales and was a popular motif on runestones in 11th century Sweden.
  • The upgrade Global Seed Vault is a reference to the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, a facility which stores thousands of varieties of crop seeds in case of a (non-cookie related) mass extinction event.
  • The achievement Farm ill is a play on words of the title of the popular Zynga game Farmville.
  • The achievement You and the Beanstalk is a reference to the English fairy tale "Jack and the Beanstalk".
  • The achievement Harvest Moon refers to the real life phenomenon as well as the video game series of the same name.
  • The achievement Sharpest tool in the shed is a reference to a lyric in the 2001 Smash Mouth song "All Star", which is in the line "Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me, I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed".
  • The achievement I hate manure is a quote from Back to the Future, as in the films it is often exclaimed by members of the Tannen family when they end up in a pile of manure.
  • The achievement Huge tracts of land is a quote from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. In the film Herbert's father says "Don't like her? What's wrong with her? She's beautiful, she's rich, she's got huge... tracts of land." while attempting to convince Herbert to marry.
