Minigames

Minigames are additional interactable elements in Cookie Clicker, accessed by leveling up certain buildings with Sugar Lumps. If unlocked, they may be accessed by clicking the "View [minigame]" button next to the corresponding building's level.

Besides unlocking minigames, sugar lumps may also be used to refill timers. This can only be done once every 15 minutes and the timer is shared across all minigames.

Minigames continue to function if all buildings are sold, though will be inaccessible due to their corresponding building tab being hidden.

Garden

Full Garden.png

The Garden is a complex minigame added in version 2.01, featuring various plants with a variety of passive effects or harvest effects. Some plants can even unlock new upgrades when harvested. Increasing the Farms' building level (up to level 9) increases the garden size significantly, allowing more crops to be planted. Larger quantities of Farms owned will unlock up to 5 soil types, which can affect plant growth, mutation rate, and passive effect strength.

In this minigame, sugar lumps can be used to reset the plant tick and soil refill timers; additionally, plants will also spread and mutate 3 times as much during the bonus tick. It is also possible to gain one sugar lump from a certain rare plant. Alternatively, 10 sugar lumps can be earned by sacrificing 33 out of 34 seeds once all of them have been unlocked, effectively resetting the garden. For more strategies, check this page.

Pantheon

The Pantheon, added in version 2.0034, allows up to three passive effects to be activated, by slotting spirits into low-, medium- and high-tier spaces (Jade, Ruby, and Diamond, respectively), which determine the effectiveness of their boost. Slotting a spirit or switching two slotted spirits costs one Worship swap. Worship swaps accrue over time at a rate dependent on how many you have, to a maximum of 3. Worship swaps can also be refilled instantly with a sugar lump.

Grimoire

Added in version 2.0034, the Grimoire allows the casting of spells, using a pool of magic. The cost of a spell is the sum of a minimum value and percentage of current magic capacity. The size of the magic meter is affected by both the level of Wizard Towers and the number of wizard towers currently owned, though the number of buildings is by far the greatest influence. The magic meter slowly charges up over time but can be filled instantly using a sugar lump (maximum gain: 100 units of magic).

Stock Market

The Stock Market, originally added in version 2.028, allows the player to buy cookies, ingredients and recipes, and sell them at a higher price. The currency of the Stock Market is $ which stands for ($)econds of production. You can increase how much product you can buy and sell by upgrading the Offices, which cost a certain amount of Cursors and require a certain Cursor level. Loans can also be used, which increase current CpS for a certain amount of time, but after this has finished, CpS is decreased for a longer amount of time. The increase and decrease of the ingredient costs is mainly random, but some equations are included, giving it a bit of predictability.

  • On several occasions, Orteil has stated that he will call the game "finished" when every building has a minigame:
