Overview

Ascensions do not count towards 'Total ascensions' if no prestige is gained, therefore it is required to get at least 1 prestige level before each ascension.

Javascript (Cookie Clicker's coding language) loses integer precision at 9,007,199,254,740,992. Beyond this, it will require more than 1 prestige level's worth of cookies to start gaining levels. Because of this, the strategy below works best after a few trillion and below 9 quadrillion prestige levels.

Strategy

For the setup, the permanent upgrade slots should be changed to get the fastest ascension times. There are two strategies:

• For both strategies, slot in the three most expensive kitten upgrades. This may include Fortune #103 to avoid having to grind for it again, but note that it is significantly weaker than all other kitten upgrades.
• Then, slot in the two most expensive cursor upgrades for strategy 1, or the two most expensive You upgrades for strategy 2.

Please note that these strategies can also be used to get the 100-ascension achievement, Reincarnate. Being a normal achievement, it will grant a CpS boost by increasing milk.

Here is a step-by-step guide to get the fastest ascensions:

1. Click "Buy All" upgrades a few times to buy Heavenly Chip Secret and some kitten upgrades
2. Use the following:
   • Strategy 1: Buy the max amount of cursors and grandmas. Repeat this again, followed by buying all upgrades when the set of upgrades unlocked at 5 seconds appear, before ascending.
   • Strategy 2: Buy the max amount of cursors and grandmas only once to get enough CpS, followed by buying all upgrades again. Then buy the max amount of You possible, followed by the next set of upgrades, before ascending. With sufficiently high cursor CpS, grandmas will not be necessary for this strategy.

The first strategy is easier to execute as it does not require scrolling between the top and bottom of the store, though will not work as well towards higher prestige levels, where the second strategy will become superior.

Pressing the Escape key will instantly skip the ascending cutscene, cutting down massively on ascension times. Another tip is that pressing the Enter key after the "Legacy" or "Reincarnate" buttons will cause the ascension or reincarnation to happen instantly, such that there is no need to move the mouse and click, speeding up the process. Turning on screen reader mode in settings and holding Shift+Enter will make the game attempt to buy 100 of a clicked building 30 times per second, which can make executing ascensions easier. Turning off all graphical improvements in the settings can also be beneficial, as less lag causes the scroll wheel to work faster.

Both strategies can result in ~5 second ascends, though the second is considered faster due to less clicks being required and thus being able to make small mistakes without wasting time beyond the minimum 5 seconds.

Speed Baking Achievements

Speed Baking III requires 1 million cookies to be baked in 15 minutes. Unlocking this will automatically unlock Speed Baking I and II.

There are three main ways to get this achievement, from most to least common:

• Using Reindeer and Frenzy first Golden Cookie (requires Christmas); (~45% per attempt)
• A reasonably good clicks per second (at least 10) and Frenzy first Golden Cookie; (~45% per attempt)
• The first/second Golden cookie is Click Frenzy; (~3.8% per attempt)
• The first Golden cookie is Frenzy and a second Golden cookie spawns within 15 minutes, also yielding Frenzy; (~1% per attempt)
• The first/second Golden cookie (usually the second) is Cookie Storm. (~0.6% per attempt)

Culminating into a success rate of ~5.4% per attempt of 15 minutes each, meaning that it would take an average of ~12.49 attempts (for 50% cumulative chance of getting this achievement), or 3 hours and 7 minutes.

Buying the various Santa upgrades can increase the CpS immensely if the correct upgrades are unlocked, and Reindeer can be very useful especially in a Frenzy. With Christmas, simply a Frenzy with good upgrades from Santa would be enough to obtain this achievement.

Playing with good building/upgrade distribution is very important. Here is a spreadsheet detailing what things to buy/sell (assumes 10 clicks per second and no seasons).

An autoclicker can help immensely, allowing for obtaining even without Golden Cookies.

If using a save with 0 prestige, Sugar Lumps can greatly assist in obtaining this achievement. Alongside increasing building CpS, Golden sugar lumps can make the process significantly easier. Remember to ascend after unlocking Sugar Lumps for this to work.

True Neverclick

In order to gain enough starting capital to buy a cursor, two golden cookies (spawning every 5-15 minutes) with the Lucky! effect must be clicked.

Alternatively, during Christmas season (15th to 31st December on system calendar), reindeer spawn every 3-6 minutes and can be clicked for 25 cookies.

Once the first cursor is obtained, the slow stream of cookies can be used to buy more buildings and upgrades (unless also doing Hardcore) until 1 million cookies baked this ascension have been accumulated.
